I genuinely don't know how you have any faith in them after so much failure, but at the same time I applaud it. 

Well, honestly, I'm a die hard fan of the game. No matter how bad they do with something, I always have fun with the games anyway. What's even more fun for me is trying to figure out what they're going to do next.

I'm as much a fan as you are, and that's why disappointment hits me as hard as it does.

I want this series to be better, but I also need evidence suggesting that the people behind it have the inclination to improve

I don't disagree with you about the need for the improvement of the series but I still enjoy the games. I even kind of like the story and how it's been ending up.

I know you're upset about Sindel's retcon but I feel like it's not really a retcon. In the retcon, it states that she's always been evil even though people think otherwise. But why? Why even mention it? A true retcon would just make the retcon and not even mention the original thought. They go out of their way to mention the original thought and say "well that was a lie". It's so obvious to me that it's not a real retcon. It's Sindel, brainwashed, saying that she has always been this way. There are so many films and television shows that have this troupe. Good person who turns bad due to brainwash and becomes resentful of everything while saying they always have been.

There's nothing to state that she's under mind control. They WANT people to believe she was always evil, even if it completely condradicts everything about her new character.

And frankly this entire trilogy has been a poorly written disjointed mess for me. That is just one major issue in a whole sea of problems.

Did you not play MK9? When she was resurrected she was brainwashed into serving Shao Kahn. She was defiant at first.

I'm aware. MK11 contradicts MK9. Because the writers are incompetent hacks.
