This article is about the Johnny Cage movie. For the fighting stage, see Temple of Katara Vala (arena)."

Temple of Katara Vala is a fictional adventure fantasy movie starring Johnny Cage and directed by Steven. It features an adventurer and his friend on their way to discover the lost artifact of the infamous figure Katara Vala.

Storyline[]

The Tomb Raider along with his crew, featuring Adam and Alessia are on their way to find an artifact when suddenly Alessia disappears. After finding her corpse, the adventurer and Adam are able to find the lost ancient temple deep within the forest, using the very note left with Alessia.

When the two walk inside, Adam almost makes a fatal mistake by stepping into liquid mercury until Johnny stops him. He guides Adam to follow his footsteps but Adam messes up, causing the two of them to quickly advance into the tomb, defeating Katara's minion Kalima along the way. They reach Katara Vala and attempt to take his shield, until the creature comes back to life and scares Adam, who falls to his death in the liquid mercury.

Angered by this, the Tomb Raider battles the creature to finish it off once and for all. Defeating Katara, he grabs the artifact and returns to the museum.

Trivia[]

  • The movie is heavily depicted as a reference to the Indiana Jones series; not only the tone but the plot features an almost complete retelling of the opening events of Raiders of the Lost Ark, while the name itself is similar to The Temple of Doom.
  • Johnny's outfit from this movie is known as Illinois Johnny, an obvious reference to Indiana Jones' name.
  • This idea is even more further proved with the director's name being Steven, a homage to famous director Steven Spielberg, whom directed the Indiana Jones film series.
  • The final fight scene is used to serve as the opening of Chapter 2.
  • In a mirror match intro dialogue, the first Johnny asks how The Temple of Katara Vala film turned out. The second Johnny dejectedly says it "would have been a better indie film".
