Is it worth mentioning that slain Masked Guard appeared in Armageddon(in the very beginning of intro)?
It's clearly masked guard, his mask is lying right next to him, it also can be used to tell if guards are humans(atleast some of them are, if not all).

Masked guards = samurai?[]
Well in MKSM you can clearly see they wield a naginata, carries a katana (not a dagger), and performs seppuku (a suicidal move to retain honor: see wikipedia) when their life runs out. Also they serves a lord (shang tsung (and shao kahn)).
So they can be classified as samurais right?
