Name question

Butterfly knife? I understand if the wikia has similar policy to others to name the articles after the in-game names instead of real names, but still im asking this: Why is it called a butterfly knife? A butterfly knife is the knife with the handle that splits and sheaths the knife, and which is usually used for pulling off tricks. I dont know what knives those are, but definitely not butterfly knives. --Oreo Biskuit!!Eleven 19:58, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

You are absolutely right. MK takes great liberties when it comes to naming weapons and fighting styles. Kano's weapons are in fact a pair of Chinese buffterfly swords, not actual Filipino buffterfly knives (the folding knives you are reffering to). To be fair though, the buffterfly "swords" more closely resemble knives than swords when compared to Western weapons. — Kyoo Moo (talk) 12:31, March 20, 2012 (UTC)

Similar to Kira's Dragon Teeth

The render of Kano's knives in MK9 are similar to the in-game render of Kira's Dragon Teeth, while MK11 has Kano's knives resemble Konquest mode's depiction of the Dragon Teeth. Was this a case of reused assets, or something else? - BlitzGundam (talk) 06:15, May 14, 2019 (UTC)
