—Sektor to Tanya in Mortal Kombat 1

Biography

  • Mortal Kombat 1: "Sektor grew up immersed in Lin Kuei culture. Her mother was a leading warrior, her father was its Master Armorer. Sektor marveled at his flawless work. Apprenticing with him, she eventually surpassed her father's skills. When he retired, she took his place. But Sektor also wanted to honor her mother's legacy. Now her vast knowledge of weaponry and her formidable martial skills make Sektor a kombatant like no other. Sensing Sektor was a kindred spirit, Sub-Zero shared with her his grand vision for the Lin Kuei's future. She joined his efforts immediately. Now Sub-Zero's most trusted lieutenant, Sektor will force the Lin Kuei to evolve. Those who cannot change will be eliminated."

Storyline

In restarting the timeline, Liu Kang wanted to ensure the realms would not fall into the same conflicts as he had previously experienced. In doing so, after seizing control of The Hourglass, Liu Kang forged the destinies of many past villains, such as Sektor, making them a loyal Lin Kuei assassin under Bi-Han's leadership. Additionally, Sektor is now female, the daughter of Madam Bo and is in a relationship with Bi-Han. She is also head of the Lin Kuei cybernetics, starting preparations and achieving significant results in this timeline's version of the Cyber Initiative for Bi-Han's Lin Kuei. As the master of Cyrax, she and Cyrax don cyberized exosuits that grant her similar abilities to her previous timeline counterparts.

Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns

Sektor continues her advancements in the Lin Kuei's Cyber Initiative, training her pupil Cyrax with their new cyber suits. Bi-Han, impressed with the results, sends them on a mission to assassinate his brother for his "treachery" against the Lin Kuei, while hiding the truth from Cyrax. The clan invade the Wu Shi Academy where Kuai Liang's wedding with Harumi is being held. Cyrax spares Harumi's life, but the truth about Kuai Liang is revealed and she turns on Bi-Han and Sektor. The Lin Kuei are repelled and Bi-Han and Sektor are taken into custody.

In Outworld, Bi-Han and Sektor are tried by Mileena for their allegiance to General Shao while also being blamed for Empress Sindel's death. Mileena wants them executed, but Liu Kang convinces her otherwise. During the trial a portal opens with variants exiting, revealing to originate from Titan Havik's timeline. Keeper of Time's chaotic forces assault the trial and Geras is kidnapped by Titan Havik's variants of Kenshi and Takeda. Bi-Han rushes through the portal to stop them, much to Sektor's dismay.

Desperate to get Bi-Han back, Sektor aids Liu Kang in rescuing Geras under Kuai Liang's supervision. They infiltrate Titan Havik's timeline where they encounter chaos variants of other kombatants. While venturing, they stumble across a variant of Johnny Cage and Rain that are part of a rebellion. The group head to the Khaoseum to rescue a variant of Tanya that knows of Titan Havik's timeline. Once at there, they are spotted by a chaos variant of Kenshi Takahashi, Titan Havik's closest lieutenant, and forced to fight in the Khaoseum. Defeating various kombatants, the group escape into a booby-trapped tunnel system known as The Maze and must fight to survive. The get through the tunnels at the cost of Rain's life, where Tanya interacts with a variant of the dragon Orin who teleports the group to Havik's Citadel to rescue Geras.

At the Citadel, the group encounter a transformed Bi-Han, now the chaotic Noob Saibot. They defeat him and Sektor wishes to rescue him but Kuai Liang declines due to his past actions but later agrees, saying Liu Kang can restore him. The group rescue Geras, retrieve Bi-Han and steal Titan Havik's Kamidogu, artifacts used to shape reality that Titan Havik intended to infuse with Geras's Time Crystals so he could shape the reality of the multiverse into a chaotic, anarchist utopia that he would rule. At the Fire Temple, Liu Kang frees Bi-Han of the chaotic influence but cannot restore his body. He and Sektor embrace each other but the Temple is invaded by Titan Havik, who destroys most of the Temple and retrieves his stolen Kamidogu.

At The Gateway, Liu Kang and Bi-Han fight off Titan Havik's forces until only Havik remains. Tearing off his own limbs and cloning himself, Liu Kang's champions fend off the horde of Havik clones. Having knowledge of Titan Havik's abilities and thoughts, Bi-Han overpowers the Titan and severs his limbs until his healing factor could not keep up. Wanting to kill the Titan to end the madness, Liu Kang refuses as Titan Havik's death would destroy his timeline and all timelines the chaotic Titan has merged with. Sektor pleads with Bi-Han to desist, but he refuses and attacks Liu Kang but is stopped by Geras. Sektor is amended for her crimes and made the temporary Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei in Bi-Han's absence, but is told by Liu Kang that further interference by the Lin Kuei will result in severe punishment. Bi-Han is then transported in a comatose state to the Temple of the Elements to be restored.

Endings

  • Mortal Kombat 1 (Canonical): "Though I had returned to the temple after Titan Havik's defeat, I remained livid. Livid with Bi-Han's foolishness, Kuai Liang's betrayal, and Cyrax's defection to his Shirai Ryu. So when Quan Chi arrived to parley, offering to eliminate the upstart clan, I listened... For his services, Quan Chi asked that I retrieve an amulet that was locked away in the Temple of the Elements. No small task, given its wards and guardians. Though one worth understanding, if it would finish the Lin Kuei's rivals. But before I could find the amulet, I found Bi-Han. There he was, imprisoned and forgotten, when Liu Kang had promised to restore him! As I rescued Bi-Han, all thought of retrieving Quan Chi's treasure was quickly forgotten. I will never forgive Liu Kang for this betrayal. That he is a god will not stop me from seeking vengeance."
