The Sabre of Light is Cyrax's weapon from Mortal Kombat Gold.
The weapon is high-tech cybernetic weapon, its blade seems to be some sort of laser or energy beam. In later games Cyrax, along with Sektor, uses a new version of the Sabre called the Pulse Blade.
