Ryan is a character who only appeared in Mortal Kombat: A Novel. He was a young fighter who participated in the Mortal Kombat tournament. He took a garish science-fiction novel with him to the tournament. the cover of the novel showed an eye-patched starpilot looking grave while standing in his rocket ship. He seemed to be a known fighter, as Brad recognized him from Leavenworth, where Ryan had spent some time, but assumed the fighter wanted to fight him.
