The Pulse Blade is a newer version of the Sabre of Light, Cyrax's weapon from Mortal Kombat Gold, and just like that it resemble a lightsaber from the Star Wars franchise.
Cyrax uses a blue Pulse Blade in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and a green one in Armageddon.
Sektor also uses a Pulse Blade in Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition, because of him being a palette swap of Cyrax in that game, and weilds two red Pulse Blades in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
It should be noted that being a good-alligned character, Cyrax wields blue and green Pulse Blades like the good Jedi from the Star Wars series, while Sektor, being evil-alligned, wields red Pulse Blades, much like the evil Sith do.
