The Netherrealm is an arena in Mortal Kombat Gold, and is essentially an altered version of Scorpion's Lair from Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
Overview
The battle takes places in a small throne room, but in the background, behind the throne, the familiar pillars of skeletal remains from Scorpion's Lair can be seen with the lava casting its reddish glow.
It is unknown who the throne belongs to, but it is probable that it belongs to the ruler of the Netherrealm, namely either Lucifer or Shinnok, depending on the time.
