Part 1: Mortal Kombat 1[]
In Liu Kang's New Era, Khameleon is now a member of the Umgadi, commanded by Tanya.
During the Sun Do festival, Khameleon was present while protecting the princesses Kitana and Mileena. She helped Tanya confront the Zaterran Syzoth, but they failed and the group accompanying Syzoth escaped to the Earthrealm.
Later, Khameleon helped Tanya to confront Li Mei, who was convinced by Liu Kang about General Shao's plan to overthrow Sindel's empire, however, both of them did not listen and tried to expel them from the palace but were defeated.
Part 2: Khaos Reigns[]
During Titan Havik's invasion of The Great Hall to capture Geras during Bi-Han and Sektor's trial, Khameleon teams with Sektor to take down the Khaos counterparts of Quan Chi, Shang Tsung and Geras. Shortly before the battle against Khaos Geras, however, she is frozen by his time manipulation powers while attempting to attack Titan Havik with a Bo and almost killed by a pillar that Khaos Geras pushes over until Sektor saves Khameleon by using her missiles.
