The pollaxe (also poleaxe, pole-axe, pole axe, polax, and Hache (French meaning axe) is a European polearm that was widely used by medieval infantry.

The weapon is introduced and used by the Monk in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero.
In Mortal Kombat X, Shinnok uses a Bone Pollaxe as a part of his Bone Shaper Variation.
Sub-Zero utilizes an Ice Pollaxe alongside two smaller Ice Battle Axes during gameplay. He specifically uses the large Ice Pollaxe during his Fatal Blow, during his Fatality called Ice-Cutioner and during his Frostbite Outro while utilizing the smaller battle axes for a majority of gameplay. Unlike the Ice Battle Axes, the Ice Pollaxe can not be customized through the Kustomization.
The Dragon King's Army has Pollaxes with incredibly large axe-heads as a part of their arsenal. They still hold onto them when they were entombed and then turned into undead servants.
