Hiroyuki Sanada (真田 広之) (born October 12, 1960 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese actor who portrayed Scorpion in the 2021 film Mortal Kombat and will be reprising his role in the upcoming sequel Mortal Kombat 2. Sanada is best known for his work in The Twilight Samurai, The Last Samurai, Rush Hour 3, Speed Racer, The City of Your Final Destination, Tenchi: The Samurai Astronomer, The Wolverine, The Railway Man, 47 Ronin, Mr. Holmes, Life, The Catcher Was a Spy, Avengers: Endgame, Lost, Revenge, Helix, Extant, The Last Ship and Westworld.

Trivia

• Although, unlike co-star Ludi Lin, Hiroyuki Sanada is not a Power Rangers alumnus, he did guest star in two seasons of it's original Japanese counterpart; in episode 9 of JAKQ, and in episode 13 of Bioman.
