Overview
Devastator

The Devastator sword.

The Devastator is a heavy great sword with a very wide blade adorned with ancient symbols.

The Devastator was originally intended to be General Reiko's weapon in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. However, the MK team decided to give this sword to Fujin in the final version of the game for unknown reasons, instead giving Reiko the Crude Hammer.

This massive sword was obtained by the wind god Fujin and used against the Forces of Darkness to help prevent Armageddon. In gameplay, Fujin's Devastator uses similar attacks to Kenshi's Sento. In addition to being wielded by Fujin it can be selected as a weapon for Kreate a Fighters under the Swords weapon type.

This relic is similar to the artifact found trapped in the giant emerald gem held inside the Red Dragon clan's "museum", called the Lungchuan Dao or Red Dragon Sword.

It appears again in MK Mobile, as an Epic Equipment Kard. It was introduced in Update 1.11 and can be bought for 450 Blood Rubies in the Faction War store. It's Tier 1 appearance has it looking quite similar to a claymore, while its Tier X appearance being the familiar great sword albeit with a very different design.

Trivia[]

  • According to production notes for Armageddon, the Devastator has a hidden secondary blade in its hilt.
