Descendant of Apep is the official name given to the character controlled by the player in the Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt.
He makes a cameo appearance in the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath story mode, where he is found by Shang Tsung, Fujin and Nightwolf, having been killed by one of the Shaolin Dungeon's traps. They happen upon his corpse when Shang Tsung touches a pressure plate with his staff to get around the spear trap containing the Descendant's corpse.

Trivia[]
- The Descendant of Apep is often referred to by the community as Krypt Guy. The April Fools Tower of Time uses this very name on the Ladder screen.
- This character may possibly also be the character that the player controls in the Mortal Kombat X Krypt. It hasn't been confirmed yet, given that the Krypt in MKX was played in first person view.
- Apep is the name of Shujinko’s friend and guide through the initial stage of Mortal Kombat Deception's Konquest mode.
