Cyrax's Bomb

Cyrax's Bomb.

This small, yet highly explosive bomb is part of an arsenal of high tech weaponry operated by the cyborg ninja Cyrax. Cyrax's Bomb first appeared along with him in Mortal Kombat 3 and later reappeared as a collectible Relic within the Konquest mode of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Cyrax also uses the bomb as a part of his arsenal in the Mortal Kombat (2011) video game.

Prior to being turned into a Cyborg, Cyrax used small handheld glass baubles filled with an explosive liquid as bombs.

The Edenian demigod Taven found one while aboard Sektor's Tekunin Warship before he escaped Sektor's Tekunin Clan.

Cyrax's Bomb also appears in Mortal Kombat X. Cyrax's Bomb is used in the Lin Kuei's Faction Kill Cyber Double Strike, a Kustom Kombat modifier, and a Test Your Might death. Triborg also utilizes Cyrax's Bombs in his Cyrax LK-4D4 Variation.

Cyrax's Bomb reappears in Mortal Kombat 11 as a stage interactable on the Cyber Lin Kuei Assembly.

Trivia

  • Cyrax's Babality in MK 2011, shows him playing with his bomb before it explodes harmlessly and startles the baby to the point that they begin to bawl.
  • Cyrax's appearance in Mortal Kombat 11 ports over Triborg's moveset and special attacks involving Cyrax's Bomb attacks.
  • In Mortal Kombat 1, as a Kameo Fighter, Cyrax only has two attack involving his Bombs, excluding his Fatal Blow, these being an Ambush Attack and his Throw.
