Cage Family

The Cage family, or Carlton family, is a family related to the Hollywood actor Johnny Cage. The family is from a lineage of an ancient Mediterranean cult who bred warriors for the gods — warriors who possessed power beyond that of mortals.

In the New Era, the Cage family no longer carries that power.

• Robert Carlton, Johnny Cage's father.In the Story Mode of Mortal Kombat 11, the Past Johnny told the current Johnny that their dad always said, "Hungry people eat lunch, humble people serve it." then Johnny told his past self that dad was an asshole, but Hollywood made them an even bigger one.

• Rose Carlton, Johnny Cage's mother. In Mortal Kombat 11 there was an intro dialogue between Johnny and Cassie in which Grandma Carlton told Cassie Johnny's "Pee-Pants" secret, where Johnny said it was just one accident. She later had a cameo as Nana Cage by texting in one of Cassie's social media intros where she asked Cassie why Johnny did not call her, Cassie replied, "He's seen better days".In Mortal Kombat 1 In the new timeline it was revealed that she was cop during a dialog between Johnny and Li Mei. In Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match, she took Johnny to a Dojo at a strip mall to help him get confident from standing up to bullies.
  • Johnny Cage, real name John Carlton, is a movie star and champion of Earthrealm who fights along with other warriors in stopping the merging of realms. Introduced in Mortal Kombat.
    • Cassie Cage, real name Cassandra Carlton, is the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. Previously sergeant, Cassie is currently a commander of the Special Forces. Cassie used both her parents' most iconic moves and skills. Introduced in Mortal Kombat X.
  • Rebecca Carlton, Johnny Cage's sister.

• Cindy Ford, Johnny Cage's first ex-wife prior to the event in Mortal Kombat.
• Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage's second ex-wife in the second timeline. Previously lieutenant, Sonya is currently the general of the Special Forces who also fights to stop the merging of realms. Introduced in Mortal Kombat.
• Johnny Cage's Ex-Girlfriend, an unnamed Character Johnny Cage was in a relationship with in Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge.
• Cristina, Johnny Cage's Ex wife in the third timeline.
