Overview

Butterfly Knives are weapons used by the Black Dragon mercenary Kano in Mortal Kombat. He very often uses his Knives in combat, whether he throws them at the opponent or uses them in hand-to-hand combat.

In Mortal Kombat 11 his knives are known as Shanks and are a customized Gear Items in which he as a wide variety to choose from.

Mortal Kombat

The criminal Kano uses these single-edged blades to slit the throats of anyone who gets in his way. They have been used throughout the Mortal Kombat series. Kano has used his Shanks in a variety of way, such as Knife Throw, the Blade Swipe, and the Blade Spin. But he has also incorporated the use of the blade in Throws, Combo and Counter attacks.
