Mortal Kombat X Comics - The Lost Onaga Goro Saga! Featuring MK Writer Shawn Kittelsen

If any of you remember, there was an MKX Comic series to tie-in with the game around its launch, similar to the popular Injustice Comic series.

It was written by Shawn Kittelsen, who would later become one of the writers of the story for MK11, and the intro dialogues between that game's cast.

Here is an interview he did with a youtuber, discussing his storyline plans that never came fruition for a second season of the MKX Comics, which would have featured the story of Goro becoming Onaga's new host body, which is mentioned in some of Sheeva's intro dialogues. Watch and discuss if you'd like, I always did like those comics.

Okay, and that's a part of my point. He really needs to accept these thoughts and consequences. Sindel is just a small part of the lashing he gets. Also, the way he's somewhat nonchalant about how people feel about Sindel's past just goes to show how arbitrary his 'change' actually is.

Although as I have said, I don't support his method of Sindel, let's try not to get too off-topic. This is still about Goro and Onaga anyway

I still can't believe that he stopped making those. I always believed that he'd still make comics when MK11 was coming until I saw a statement that he's not making them anymore. Even then, my stubborn ass kept believing that there has to be something that happened to Goro, Kenshi and the Red Dragon.

I was a slightly happy to hear the story from the writer himself and I would've loved to see those scenes illustrated in full color. Seeing Frost and Sub-Zero vs Goro, Goro's transformation, all of Outworld plus a bunch of Earthrealmers vs OnaGoro, as well as that one scene where Sub-Zero secretly watches a more human and fatherly Scorpion during Takeda's chapter would've been fun to see.

The Onagoro fusion concept is really good to me, if they make it canon, I want this creature to be made by Shao Kahn in the Flesh Pits

Well it wasn't all entirely his choice, DC Comics and WB Games had a hand in the comics not continuing. I can't remember the full details, but I do know it didn't meet their expectations. The poblem there was they were expecting it to be a massive hit like the Injustice comics were, but that never really happened.

If that's true, then that's a bad move on their part. How can they expect it to be a massive comic hit when they don't release it? They should've known that Onaga is a character that is highly anticipated given the amount of time we haven't seen him.

Good point, but I would imagine that if they did a comic then how popular would it have been. The amount of people who actually read the MKX comics were pretty low. It could have been a lack of PR but it didn't do well. They would do better if the comic's storyline was a part of the game story mode.
