The first Balcony is a place of kombat during the Konquerer's invasion of Earthrealm. It first appeared in Mortal Kombat 3.
Overview[]
The Balcony is located at Shao Kahn's Fortress. It has two Centaurian statues on both sides of the room. A hole that can be seen in the background, shows a green light where the Soul Chamber rests below. The arena served as Motaro's sanctuary; it is even sometimes referred to as Motaro's Balcony or Motaro's Lair. It also served as the arena wherein the player battled sub-boss Motaro.
Trivia[]
- In the 16-bit ports of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, the battle with Motaro takes place either on The Roof on the SNES version or any of the stages on the Sega Genesis version, as The Balcony was removed in those ports, until many Hacks and ports of both versions allowed the Balcony to remain true to the Arcade.
- For unknown reasons, it was erroneously referred to as "Kahn's Tower" in the arcade version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
- Noob's Dorfen is an altered version of the Balcony, with removed back wall and statues.
