@Old Druid true, but in MK10 and MK11, he had a lot of character development. Plus, his friendship with Kenshi in MK1 is the ultimate bromance 😂.
@Darkside999 a new power would be awesome! I was hoping to see new Elder Gods and a new elemental God too. I think Argus and Delia might be Elder Gods in the new era.
I hope they kill off Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, and Shao for good. No resurrections, no timeline hopping, nothing. Just dead forever. They’ve literally been the major villain in every Mortal Kombat game. To have the three of them the main villains again in a new timeline and new era is a waste. Currently, Shao is waging a rebellion against Empress Mileena and I have a feeling the developers are going to make him win which makes him Shao Kahn. If he does win, he’s going to wage war against Earthrealm and other realms and be the conqueror he was in the previous games. Shang Tsung found an island in Outworld that has a soul well which is what he had in Earthrealm in previous games. Everything looks to be headed towards what the previous games were. If things go that way, then what was the point of a new era and a new timeline? I know there’s been a lot of changes like Liu Kang obviously being a God, Sindel being Empress, Tarkatans being infected with a disease, etc., but it’s still the same old villains, the same old realms, and the same characters. What ever the next installment is, I hope we get to see new realms, new characters, new races, and new Elder Gods.
P.S. It kinda sucks that Sindel died.
It was really great. I don’t know if my expectations were high, but I was hoping to see a new realm, a new elemental god, a new Elder God, and new people. I know that the timeline was reset, but at least in MK10 and MK11 we were introduced to new characters and races like D’vorah and the Kytinn, Kotal Kahn and the Osh-Tekk, Ferra Tor, Cetrion, Geras, Kronika, and Charon even though he’s an NPC. As for the story, it sucks that it was the same old major villains and the same realms. It’s also kind of weird that out of all people, Sonya Blade and Jax weren’t major characters, but Shang Tsung is.
