At most, Kuai has flame magic but flame magic is NOT the equivalent to having Wolverine levels of Mutant strength to lifting 800 pounds with your bare hands.
@MKActionZR these aren't opinions. They're facts based on the MK1 game itself.
Wait, you're using fanon Fandom Heroes Wiki for your argument? No wonder something felt off here. That place is unreliable! I'm at least actually using the MK Fandom and his part in the MK1 story for stating the facts on my end.
I'm looking at the whole picture here: MK1 Kuai has no stats here to indicate he's Mutant level.
His flames can't even reach past 6-9 feet.
Not underestimating him, just stating the facts here.
He's shown no actual impressive levels of strength or durability to be dubbed "Mutant level" or could be compared to average Mutants. He does NOT have the stats to prove he's at a Mutant level.
MK humans in the New Era are at least Peak Human condition at this point cuz Liu Kang nixed everything from the previous timelines. The only person who actually IS Mutant level is Raiden and that's because of the magic amulet granting him lightning powers.
Your average mutant can toss around a bear with ease or smash a car with minimal effort, both things that unfortunately Kuai is incapable of doing with his level of human strength.
At most, Kuai is peak human condition given his clans ninja training and martial arts skills.
He's not even close to an enhanced human cuz he still got cut across the face AND his hands were burned. If he truly was Enhanced, his strength and feats would be on par with Captain America. But he's nowhere near the Captain's level of strength, speed, or durability. You NEED the feats to actually prove your worth and showcase how strong you are.
Kuai's most impressive feats of strength in the game is him speaking and throwing Havik (a grown man) into a pillar. But that in of itself is not enough to be dubbed "Mutant levels" of strength.
Again, he does NOT have strength or even feats similar to that of a Mutant. At most, he beat Shao, Rain, Havik, and his brother - none of which had any impressive feats of strength comparable to Mutant levels at all in the MK1 gameplay.
If this was the OG Hanzo Hasashi Scorpion, I'd agree he's Murant-level. But this is Kuai Liang Scorpion, a serious downgrade from the original version.
That's like trying to make a comparison between MK1 Smoke and Goro, there'sno contest there eho would win. Humans have limits that other species with much LONGER lifespan (and this more time to hone their fighting experience and strength their bodies) do not necessarily have.
@MKActionZR Havik is an Orderrealmer or Seidan. In other words, an entirely different species than the HUMAN Kuai Liang. Seidan have greater affinities with magic, ergo crazier abilities which can definitely explain MK1 Havik's abilities (or chalk them up to Quan Chi's spells). They also have a much longer life expectancy which adds to them acquiring superhuman strength, speed, and durability (as shown when Havik was scorched by the molten metal but it wasn't enough to stop his healing factor snd he immediately challenged Scorpion to combat).
@MKActionZR unfortunately Kuai Liang is nowhere near a Mutant level. Even your basic Mutant could withstand the dip in molten metal, worst case get damaged but healing factor fixes that up. Kuai Liang still had to fight Haik and Darrius because he knew it would kill him in the end. Had he truly been Mutant-level strength and durability, he'd have tanked the molten metal facial and then killed the two before fleeing. Not to mention, Kuai's flames are WEAK compared to Pyro's. Pyro has a max distance of 25 ft (7.6 m) when throwing a stream of fire. In contrast, Kuai's flames at most go to about 2 or 3 meters (so 9.8 ft total) and that's being generous with the Stone Dragon Soldiers. Plus, Pyro can make actual contracts and creatures from his flames - putting him WAY beyond Kuai's level.
@MKActionZR I just look at all angles and perspectives when it comes to stuff like this. It's the same with a WWW fight, look at every aspect and detail in their history to pinpoint the deciding factor. So same thing here is all.
@Cliff1647 deadly, yes. Capable of ending a guy whose powers are specifically destructive on the soul? Not a chance
@MKActionZR Mutant level means you're at least ABOVE peak human and have the stats to prove it. Scorpion (Kuai Liang) unfortunately does not showcase any impressive feats or levels of Mutant ability to even be called as such. Not to mention, comparing him to Pyro isn't a really good argument as Pyro can manipulate his flames to reach long distances and even carry shit though he can still be burned by any fire he himself does not mentally control. Kuai's fire magic is nowhere near Pyro's level to have it Form into flaming hands to lift stuff up! The difference in ability is the same as Power. And no way in hell is Scorpion at fire level of Human Torch!
@Cliff1647 M. Bison's psycho power is specifically destructive towards the soul (both his and his opponents). And the Revenants are just souls put into dead bodies. He hits them at their power source (soul) and you're just left with a corpse. Not to mention, Quan Chi is NOT here to just put their souls into a new body and revive spam every time!
@Cliff1647 you already brought up good points why Vulcan would win. Rain can't do any actual lasting damage against his healing factor. And Vulcan can just snatch Rain and fly him up into space so he can suffocate. Done! Or Laser through his head Homelander style! He can also manipulate the earth, effectively trapping Rain. Not to mention, the demigod has NO means of sufficiently dealing with Vulcan's psionics or time manipulation to fight him on even ground.
The Maker is pretty much an immortal Mister Fantastic. He actually can't due like a god and is FAR more intelligent than Rain that he can easily play him into the palm of his hands. Not to mention superior physical prowess.
The Enchantress has magic, she could turn him into a frog! She's too OP! Nuff said!
Proxima Midnight may be a good match... if it wasn't for the fact she carries a spear that is made from a dying star! One swing from that black hole heavy weapon and BOOM! You done!
Rhino... already mentioned. Need strength comparable to a going all out Spider-Man to stop him, which Rain does not possess.
@Cliff1647 not to mention after the fight, he was gonna be killed by Erron Black. Until Mileena threw her sai to knock the gun out of his hand. She obviously knew Rain would survive a bullet to the head. If he could, she wouldn't have stepped in. And that's without bringing up D'Vorah beating Rain later on and she is unquestionably far weaker than her master Kotal.
